rAIZ's Bio

rAIZ (pronounced Rise) aka THAWIZARDOFOZ, was born of Fijian and Scottish parents in Sydney’s Western Suburbs. Raised by his Scottish mother, he developed an eclectic taste in music, being influenced by her love for the Police, Led Zeppelin, Neil Diamond, as well as classical music; and on his fathers Fijian side he became attuned to the sounds of Bob Marley, Alpha Blondy and Motown.

 

From early childhood, rAIZ always had a passion for the production side of music and tormented his parents by tapping beats on anything he could get his hands on. Then in young adulthood he discovered Music 2000 on Sony Playstation which allowed him to begin creating his own music. In Perth during the last nine years, rAIZ has evolved and perfected his own unique sound. Now signed to Hypersonic Records and Loco Incognito, rAIZ is on the rise.
